Approach to Treatment
Therapy is a collaborative process, where we work together to identify your unique goals and tailor the experience to suit your needs. Life can be tough—sometimes it feels very overwhelming. You might feel lost, misunderstood, disconnected, or exhausted. You could be struggling with grief, a difficult relationship, a major life decision, or the weight of past experiences. Perhaps you're feeling uncertain about your identity, the future or unable to find balance in your life. These are all valid reasons to seek the support and connection that therapy can offer.
I combine evidence-based techniques with a deep belief in the healing potential of the therapeutic relationship. I am down-to-earth, open-minded and non-judgmental, casual, warm, willing to be direct and hold you accountable and I have a sense of humor. At some point, I will most likely talk to you about becoming more present and aware of your body, about living as a truer version of yourself, and about spending more time in nature.
Together, we will explore and work toward meaningful change, and I will be here to guide and support you every step of the way.
In our sessions, I draw from various approaches to help you find the tools and support you need, including:
Somatic Interventions
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Compassionate Inquiry
Mindfulness and Meditation Practices
The Gottman Method
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Narrative Therapy
Feminist Therapy
Parts of Self/Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Ecotherapy
